Paper Submissions
Hello All!
Because Smartsite is down, I cannot access your papers to grade them. Please resubmit your papers to hayes@ucdavis.edu.
I hate to even suggest that anyone would consider editing their papers and submitting a different draft, but presumably Smartsite WILL come back up at some point. At that point, I will cross reference all the emailed-papers in Word to the smartsite-papers and verify that all of the submissions are the same versions. Papers that have been edited will be given a yet-undetermined penalty.
Thanks for your help in overcoming the limitations of our technology.
Best,
Joshua

Week 2 Reading Blogs
Please post your blogs and comments for Week 2 here. Add all posts as a "comment" to this thread. Add comments as a "reply" to the student's post
BLOG INSTRUCTIONS (also printed in the syllabus)
You will complete 5 original blog posts and comment on 5 student's blog posts for course readings throughout the quarter. You are free to choose any reading (starting in Week 2) listed on the syllabus. You will post on your TA's blog sites.
Directions:
You can only submit 1 blog post and comment on 1 students blog post per week
The blog posts are due by 2pm on the day of the lecture for that particular reading
The comments are due by 2pm every Friday
If you submit a blog, you must also submit a comment during the same week
You can turn in blogs early. I will not accept make-up or late blog posts and comments.
The title for each blog should be the title of the reading or documentary.
Questions to answer for your blog post:
1.a. What is/are the author(s) most important argument(s)? 1.b. Why? (5 to 10 sentences)
2.a. If the author(s) were to rewrite their article, what issues/topics should they add to their discussion? 2.b. Why? (5 to 10 sentences)
Comment on 1 student's blog by answering 1 of the following questions:
1.a. Which of your peers' answers do you agree with? 1.b. Why? (5 to 10 sentences)
OR
2.a. Which of your peers' answers do you disagree with? 2. b.Why? (5 to 10 sentences)
Possible reasons for receiving a 0 on this assignment:
1. You don't answer all the questions or you only address your own questions
2. Your answers are too short per question (Each answer should be between 5 and 10 sentences)
3. You don't complete the requirements (you must create your own blog post and comment on another student's blog post for full credit)
4. Your grammar makes your answers incomprehensible
5. Your answers are vague
6. You submit a blog post or comment late
7. You place a blog post in the wrong place
8. You don’t inform your TA that you can't access their blogs site
9. "I forgot"
